Day 18, Saturday, July 26, 2008 - 18 miles
Destination: Fox Lake, WI – We made it. This is the final
blow-out of the trip. Basically three generations represented. They
came from Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico. It’s party
time! Here are SOME of the people:

This also includes today’s Cathy shot. FOOD GALORE! This
counter has already been emptied and refilled a couple of times.
Of course everybody went for the healthy stuff first. Those are genuine
Wisconsin brats in the pan. Multiple flavors! Yum!

Need an excuse for cake? A belated birthday for Patty and
Steve, our gracious hosts. These four represent the third generation.
(L to R) Andrew, Kristin, Kailie, and Rachael. The two littlest ones belong to
my brother Alan and his wife Diane. The other
two girls belong to my cousin Jeanne and her husband Steve (who was unable to
attend.) Also present as part of the third
generation but not pictured was Marcine who belongs to my cousin Ray who did
not attend. This is the reuinion part although
you might actually call it “union” as some had never met before. The kids hit
it off very well even though there is a gap in
ages. Side note: It has been 8 or 9 years since I’ve seen Kristin and Kailie. I
gave Kristin her first motorcycle ride back then.
I also need to apologize for any name misspellings but I am doing the best I
can. You get four goodnight pictures today!

This is the lakeside view of the cottage where some stayed.
Others went home and yet others went to Beaver Dam for the
night. From the cottage (or cabin if you prefer) you see Fox Lake, the pier and
boathouse.

Duane and Peggy stayed in their Bunkhouse camper, while
Cathy and I stayed in my Mom and Dad’s camper. Shortly after we
went to bed, it sounded as if something was trying to get into where Cathy was
laying. Duane had something to do with it but
for the best story with full embellishments, ask Cathy! Good night! See you in
the morning!
