WUF Rules Update
WUF Rules Update
The following proposed rule changes and clarifications are now
in committee at the World Ultimate Federation, WUF:
Large caliber handguns are not permitted on the field of play at
any time.
Small caliber handguns (up to 9mm) are permitted, but must
be in plain sight at all times.
While not strictly illegal, it is a violation of the spirit of the
game to hold a handgun in one's dominant hand during play. The
preferred technique is to hold one's handgun in one's non-dominant
hand during play, freeing up the dominant hand for the disc.
Any accidental or semi-accidental weapons discharge during play
is a foul. A player who commits a foul of this type should immediately
call out "my bad", so play can resume promptly.
Exploding rounds are not permitted.
Any intentional weapon discharge is a violation of the spirit of
the game, especially if the discharge was directed at a specific
person, except if:
- The shooter believes the shootee was running too fast, or
- The shooter believes the shootee was jumping too high
(or was about to), or
- The shooter believes the shootee is/was too good looking, or
- The shooter covets the spouse of the shootee.
